ExpatError with 2.2 (no element found: line 1, column 0)

Hi,

I've been using the 2.2 version for quite a while now, and without changing a thing on my system (no update, no installation, nothing), i got the following error message :

xml.parsers.expat.ExpatError: no element found: line 1, column 0

I switched back to 2.1 which works as usual...
I've been looking around for this error, but nothing really interesting came up.

Just to report a strange error.

I'm running Slackware 12.1 with python 2.5.1 and expat 2.0.1 from the install dvd.
Nothing fancy beyond that.

Hope this helps,
and thanks for the great work ! Rox really is fine.

cheers,
jdifool

Archive expat error

I have no idea what could cause that. Could you try running version 2.2 from a shell and see if it prints anything? e.g.

$ 0launch --not-before=2.2 -v http://rox.sourceforge.net/2005/interfaces/Archive

Thanks,

user_overrides corrupted?

I guess your ~/.config/0install.net/injector/user_overrides/http%3a%2f%2frox.sourceforge.net%2f2005%2finterfaces%2fArchive file is corrupted for some reason. What does it contain?

Nothing !

Sorry for the delay... didn't think of coming back since I swtiched back to 2.0.

Cheers,
jdifool

Fixed

OK, fixed I think: close before renaming.

Deleting the empty file should solve your problem.

Thanks!

(just to check: when you say you went back to the previous version, you mean you stopped using Zero Install, not that you told Zero Install to use the previous version)

Hi, I just removed the file

Hi,

I just removed the file you thought was corrupted, and then it worked again with 2.2.
Thanks for the support, and for the great work. Rox does what it says :\

(yeah, i stopped using ZeroInstall in the meantime)

Cheers
