Menu provides a start menu for all your ROX applications on the ROX panel.

It will examine the directory containing your ROX applications (default ~/Apps), recursively reading all subdirectories, and build a matching menu tree. It will then display an icon on the panel. Click on the icon to access the menu.

Ripper is a CD to Ripper/Encoder for the ROX Desktop.

Volume is a Panel Applet that puts a popup volume control in your panel. It also functions as a Mixer application. The latest version(s) support ALSA natively. (for OSS and Alsa-OSS compatibility please use version 007 or older)

It is also a Mixer application that allows you to change the level and balance of the individual channels that your sound card supports.

MusicBox

MusicBox is a simple music player for ROX.

This program acts as a download manager for Fetch (and possibly other programs), limiting the number of instances of Fetch that will be downloading at any one time.

This is a helper program for ROX-Filer. It provides images for video files.

Note: you need at least version 2.1.1 of ROX-Filer and 2.0.4 of ROX-Lib2

To set it up install it to a suitable place, such as ~/Apps, then run it normally. You should get the options window. Click on Install handlers and then OK on the list window that appears.

Fetch

This program acts as a download handler for ROX-Filer, fetching files dropped from web browsers.

When a link is dragged from a web browser or similar program to a filer window ROX-Filer calls a user-defined download handler to fetch the object named by the link.

The download handler is defined in the ROX-Filer options, Drag and Drop section.

Running Fetch directly will open up its options.

Optionally you can also install DownloadManager to allow multiple instances of Fetch to co-operate.

Find

Find is a graphical front-end to the find and grep utilities.

It searches for specific text in a specified group of files or directories and shows the location of each instance of the found text. Each result can then be selected and either a) open a ROX Filer window showing the file, or b) open the file in a text editor and jump to the location of the found text.

This tends to be very useful for developers.
